Hey, my name is Jake Thacker!

I was born and raised here in Boise, Idaho. I grew up fishing and hunting with my uncles and grandfather as my teachers. The outdoors have always been an important part of my life.

I honorably served in the Marines for 8 years. After getting out of the military I had a difficult time transitioning to civilian life. Fly fishing is what brought me home mentally, gave me a purpose, and saved my life. Fly fishing is not only my passion but is also my way of life.

I cherish every chance I get to be on the river, so for the last several years I’ve made a career out of it.
