Jason Fearheiley
My name is Jason Fearheiley and I first learned to fly fish in Colorado where I was born and raised.
I bought my first rod with lawn mower money that I made. I’ve have spent the last 31 years avidly fly fishing different waters across the west from Alaska to New Mexico for all species. I love pulling out the map to make a bucket list of new waters to explore. I particularly love chasing steelhead and all char species. Some might consider me a fish nerd, always wanting to learn every detail about the fish I am chasing.
My love for fish translated in to a degree in Fishery Biology and subsequently working many years in aquatics studying insects, habitats and fish. I love catching fish on flies I’ve tied! I really enjoy the experience of teaching others what I’ve learned over the years and particularly love watching others catch fish. With my roots as a wade angler my wife and I for the past decade have expanded our fly fishing endeavors by rowing our raft or drift boat.
I look forward to meeting you on the river!
