Luke Anderson
I’m 27 years old and grew up in the Midwest. That’s where my love for fly fishing began at age of 12 with my dad and two older brothers. I carried that passion with me through college while playing baseball at the University of Missouri and the University of Central Oklahoma.
In 2021, I was drafted by the Oakland A’s in the 15th round and played four seasons in the minor leagues before medically retiring after being diagnosed with lymphoma twice. After overcoming my second battle, I realized how important it was to pursue the things I’m truly passionate about.
Fly fishing has always brought out my inner child, and I love seeing that same excitement in others. Becoming a fly fishing guide has been a longtime dream, and Boise River Guides gives me the opportunity to share my passion, connect with fellow anglers, and help create unforgettable experiences on the water.
