Rivers We Guide

Are you looking for an unforgettable fly fishing experience in Idaho? Look no further than our fly fishing guide service. We offer guided fly fishing trips on the Boise, Owyhee, and Grande Ronde rivers.

  • Located less than three miles from the airport the Boise River is thought of as one of the city’s most treasured recreational venues. A series of beautiful public parks parallel the river and are linked by the beautiful 35-mile long Boise Greenbelt system. The Greenbelt provides a myriad of year round recreational opportunities that include walking, running, bicycling and wildlife viewing. The wildlife abounds with chances to see Deer, Mink, Beavers, Foxes, Great Blue Herons, Bald Eagles and other birds of prey. The Boise River itself provides floating, swimming and of course FISHING!!

  • The Owyhee River is an amazing Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout  Fishery!! The “O” is a tailwater fishery who’s irrigation flows (typically  late spring to October 6th) average 150-250cfs. The non irrigation  flows usually hold steady at 27cfs. The Owyhee River near Adrian,  Oregon is located about an hour and fifteen minutes West of the Boise  airport. The fish here average 14 to 18 inches, with larger fish  common.

  • Located in northeast Oregon, the Grande Ronde River has more  picture perfect steelhead swinging water than almost any river in North  America. In 1988 this tributary of the Snake River was designated a  Wild and Scenic River by Congress. The massive basalt canyon walls  that rise several thousand feet from the river are home to a wide array  of wildlife including bighorn sheep, elk, deer, turkey, upland game  birds, and numerous raptors. The main draw for anglers, however, is  the summer-run steelhead that inhabit this river start “running” in late  September that go through the spring. These anadromous fish are  most accessible with floating lines, dry flies and wet flies from when  they show up to early November. The water starts to cool off in  November and sink tips are used to get the flies down into the  Steelheads strike zone. Bull Trout also inhabit the Grande Ronde  River.
